One of CYT's greatest sources of pride comes from the diversity of speech topics given at our events. There is no 'traditional' Chicago Youth Talk; all speeches are welcome. Some of our past talks have included:

A discussion of perfectionism in modern-day schooling
Tales of exotic travel experiences
Explanations of different aspects of feminist culture
Descriptions of current events, including global warming and the refugee crisis
Dialogue about both queer and African American identities
Conversation about speech impediments and how they affect personal perceptions
Research done involving neuroscience
Live poetry performances
